1. Data Controller
App name: ZeroKit
Contact: gireyimsolke@hotmail.com
2. Data We Store
- Favorites list and UI preferences (dark mode, units, default currency).
- Calculator history and local conversion configuration.
- Generated content you choose to keep locally (for example notes/checklists in tool modules).
- Password generator settings (length, character sets) โ the generated passwords themselves are never stored.
- BMI records and unit preference (metric / imperial).
- Loan and date calculation history cached locally for convenience.
All of the above items are stored exclusively on your device using iOS UserDefaults or in-app local storage. None of this data is transmitted to any server.
3. Permissions Used
| Permission | Usage in ZeroKit |
|---|---|
| Location | Compass and related directional/location-based utility features. |
| Microphone | Noise meter (decibel estimation). |
| Camera | Barcode scanner or camera-assisted tools. |
| Photos (Add) | Saving generated QR images to your photo library. |
4. Network Access
- ZeroKit is designed to work mostly offline. All core tools run without an internet connection.
- Network is used only for features that explicitly require online data:
- IP Info tool: a single HTTP request is made to a public IP lookup API to retrieve your current public IP address and approximate region. No identifying metadata is attached to the request.
- Currency Converter: exchange-rate data may be fetched periodically from a public rates API. No user identity is included in the request.
- No user account, login, or registration is required to use any feature of the app.
- No analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or third-party tracking library is embedded in the app.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not run behavioral advertising in the core tool experience. Data created in the app remains on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
The only outbound network calls (described in Section 4) go to third-party public APIs for functional purposes. Those API providers have their own privacy policies; ZeroKit does not send any personally identifiable user information as part of those requests.
We may be required to disclose information if compelled by law, regulation, or valid legal process. In such cases we would disclose only the minimum required by law.
6. Your Choices
- You can revoke permissions (Location, Microphone, Camera, Photos) at any time in iOS Settings โ ZeroKit. Revoking a permission only disables the related tool feature; all other tools remain fully functional.
- You can clear app-generated history and calculation data from the in-app Settings screen.
- You can reset all preferences to default by clearing app data in iOS Settings or reinstalling the app.
- You can uninstall the app at any time to remove all locally stored app data from your device.
- Because no account or server-side profile exists, there is no "account deletion" step โ all your data lives on your device and is fully under your control.
7. Children
ZeroKit is a general utility app intended for users of all ages. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly address the concern.
Because no server-side data is collected by ZeroKit, there is no cloud profile or account associated with any user, child or otherwise.
8. Data Security
All data generated by ZeroKit is stored locally on your iOS device and protected by the iOS security model, including file-level encryption when your device is locked. We do not maintain any servers that hold user data, so there is no risk of a server-side data breach exposing your information.
Password generation uses cryptographically secure random number generation provided by the iOS Security framework. Generated passwords are displayed on screen but never written to disk or transmitted.
9. Data Retention
ZeroKit does not collect or retain data on any server. All data stored by the app (preferences, history, favorites) persists on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. There are no server-side retention periods to describe.
10. International Users
ZeroKit is available worldwide via the App Store. Because all data stays on your device, there is no cross-border data transfer performed by the app. Your data is subject to the local iOS security protections on your device and the laws of your country.
If applicable laws in your region (such as GDPR, CCPA, or PIPL) grant you specific rights regarding personal data, the fact that ZeroKit stores data only locally means you can exercise those rights directly on your device (by clearing data or uninstalling the app).
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
